After the fantastic success of our recent couch to 5k programs, we are delighted to be offering another program starting on the 5th June 2019 and running until the 10th August 2019.
We will be meeting on Wednesdays at 6.30pm at Bedale Sports Club (also known as BASA) just out of town on the Leyburn road. This is the night the running club meets too, so participants will get to meet other club members. The sessions will last around 45 minutes.
You will need to find time for two other activities each week.
We offer an intervals training session on Monday evenings at 6.30pm and most weeks there will be a coach available to answer questions, suggest a route, and confirm the session plan. However, they will normally not be able to run with you.
We will also suggest you meet as a group for a 9am Saturday morning session.
If you cannot make these two additional sessions, we will let you know each week what you need to do and you can fit them into your own time.
There’s no charge for the program itself, but you will need to join the club (mainly for insurance purposes). The annual club membership fee is approx. £30 (the exact 2019 membership fee will confirmed at our AGM on 6th March). That also includes your registration with England Athletics and membership of Bedale Sports Club. You will then be able to remain part of our running community and come to our club run evenings after the program is finished, get small discounts on running events if that’s something you end up wanting to do, and several other benefits.
You are more than welcome to come along to a couple of sessions before making the decision about joining, but you will need to be a member by Wednesday 19th June at the latest if you want to remain in the program.

Please note that the club does not have a junior section at this time and so unfortunately you need to be at least 18 years in order to participate in this program.

We will send final joining instructions no later than one week before the program starts to those who have registered. These will include information about how to join the club as well as information about exactly where and when to meet, what to wear, what to bring etc.
Running Group Leaders are qualified leaders and are willing to share their experience and enjoyment of the sport with me. By registering for this program I confirm that I understand that participation in this group is entirely at my own risk and that I should consult my own doctor if I am suffering from any condition that might make running injurious to my health.
